Frequently Asked Questions

Lived Places Publishing does not publish textbooks or scholarly monographs. We publish across a wide array of topics, but your proposal should reflect our core "house theme" of examining social identity/identities in the context of place(s) through the lens of lived experience.

Books can be autobiographical but do not have to be; our books range from first-person narratives to ethnographies. We welcome and encourage full expression, not watered down or sanitized stories. Many of our books are co-authored.

You will be working with a Collection Editor and our editorial and production team throughout the process, and we provide developmental editing support for authors who want or need it.
